Lusben relaunches 48m Perini Navi yacht Belle Brise following comprehensive refit

The 48-metre Perini Navi sailing yacht Belle Brise (ex Corelia) has been relaunched following a comprehensive refit at Lusben's site in Livorno, Italy.

The comprehensive refit was centred around a desire by the owner to obtain the Restricted Commercial Notation under the Maltese flag, in addition to enabling future charter operations. As a result, all functional areas of the yacht were targeted, beginning with the installation of new MAN engines and new Caterpillar generators, alongside structural revisions and the enhancement of her classic interiors.

She also underwent a complete renewal of her onboard systems, as well as upgrades to her instrumentation and technical equipment. In order to preserve her authentic identity, many components were selected in line with the original Maker List.

"The ceremony represents a moment of great pride for our entire team. Working on a sailing icon such as Belle Brise means taking on an important responsibility: respecting her soul, enhancing her history, and at the same time elevating her technical and operational standards," said Ferdinando Pilli, general manager of Lusben. "This project perfectly embodies our vision of refit and rebuild - a balance between engineering expertise, nautical culture and craftsmanship."

Lusben's keel pit, inaugurated at the Livorno yard in 2024, played a key role in the execution of Belle Brise's works.

Italian project management firm Seamotion supported Belle Brise's owner in selecting Lusben for the project and collaborated with the yard on the rebuild. Founder Susanna Corsagni commented: "Belle Brise carries within her DNA the 'blue blood' of Perini Navi - the same heritage that lives on in the experience, design culture and craftsmanship of many of the professionals who contributed to her rebirth."

Launched in 1993, Belle Brise was among the first units of the renowned 48-metre Perini Navi series and soon stood out for her innovative design solutions, including a redesigned stern to create a comfortable and liveable lazarette.

She was sold in September 2022 at a last known asking price of €8,500,000. Following her refit, the yacht will now return to navigation.
