In this week's episode of the BOAT Briefing podcast, the team discusses why more women are searching for boats in the US, examines a cool new James Bond boat built by a Dutch prince, and brings you news on the latest superyacht launches.
The interview this week is with sustainability entrepreneur and former Formula 1 world champion Nico Rosberg. Stewart Campbell, BOAT International's editor-in-chief, caught up with Rosberg as he was visiting Sunreef Yachts' yard in Gdasnk, Poland and the pair talked catamarans, the growing environmental movement in yachting and why he stepped away from F1.
Caroline White, meanwhile, brings you the latest data on explorer yachting, after new pictures were released of 87 metre OceanXplorer. White reveals that there are 496 explorer superyachts on the water, and why there is a declining trend for converting commercial vessels.
The podcast team also talk through some of the standout new launches, including Metal Shark's new 48 metre catamaran, a new sailing yacht concept from Malcolm McKeon and Royal Huisman that has a mast taller than the Statue of Liberty and the new Amels LE180 Galene.
For the next three weeks, the BOAT Briefing podcast will feature a series of interviews conducted with design icons Andrew Winch, Terry Disdale and Tim Heywood. Don't forget to like and subscribe to make sure you never miss an episode of BOAT Briefing.
