Update: Benetti lifts the lid on in-build superyacht Project Rinascimento
The builder revealed more about the project, also known as FB284, during a virtual press conference hosted by Azimut|Benetti group vice president Giovanna Vitelli and exterior designer Giorgio M Cassetta.
Spread across six decks, the focus of Project Rinascimento is on maximising enjoyment on board for the owner and their guests.
The exterior, which highlights the horizontal lines of the yacht, and features a vertical bow and sleek hull give the yacht an “impressive and commanding presence”, Benetti said. Currently available for sale and under construction, the yacht is due for delivery in 2022.
The interior is penned in-house and features woods including Curly Maple and black Macassar Ebony with Carrara White and black Saint Laurent marbles.
Accommodation is for a total of 14 guests in seven staterooms spread across three decks. The upper deck is dedicated to the owner and sees the master stateroom, accompanied by a private study and two bathrooms, located at the bow. Two VIPs sit below on the main deck, alongisde the pantry and galley. Repositioning the galley from its traditional lower deck location has freed up space down below. Four guest cabins sit on the lower deck, including a massive crew quarters large enough to house a maximum staff of 19.
The bridge deck meanwhile is the dedicated "party deck", with a number of outdoor areas, a large bar and plenty of storage. The captain's cabin is also located on the bridge deck.
The sun deck above features a Jacuzzi and plenty of sun lounging space, while a spacious beach club sits aft of the lower deck, complete with a hammam, bath and shower. Owners also have the option to include a gym here. The "under lower deck" is dedicated to technical purposes and storage.
While the propulsion package has not yet been revealed, Benetti previously estimated the boat to have a top speed of 15.8 knots, cruising speed of 14 knots and 5,000 nautical mile range.
