Dutch yard Royal Huisman has announced the sale of an 80-metre-plus sailing yacht known as Project 412.
The "super-sized" aluminium sailer will be built for a returning owner and rank among Royal Huisman's largest builds once delivered. Designed for world circumnavigation, Project 412 will be equipped with a "state-of-the-art" carbon rig supplied by Rondal. Little else is known about the build, with even the final LOA yet to be confirmed.
"We are honoured to embark on this new super-sized sailing yacht project for a returning owner. Every yacht we create reflects the depth of experience and dedication we have cultivated over the past 140 years," said Royal Huisman CEO, Jan Timmerman. "Project 412 is no exception. With her impressive scale and advanced design, it promises a true sailing experience while offering a distinctive and sustainable alternative to large powerboats."
According to BOATPro, the mammoth build will be joining two other projects at the yard's facilities in Vollenhove: the 85-metre Project 410, also known as the world's largest single-masted sailing yacht, and the 81-metre Project 411.
