Italian yard Sanlorenzo has released a new 25.5-metre yacht concept that pays tribute to the "elegance and tradition of Italian yachtmaking". Named SHE (short for Sanlorenzo Heritage), the vintage-inspired design has been developed as an exclusive production offering in collaboration with Zuccon International Project and Lissoni & Partners.
Her exterior takes cues from 1960s design trends, including pure, minimalist lines and a wood-dominated profile. Inside, the aesthetic is that of a "Milanese lounge", complete with mahogany finishes, a warm colour palette and tailored details. Loose furniture and sculptural accents have been selected to reflect the "elegance of mid-century Italian design".
"SHE is a gentle yacht," explained interior designer and Sanlorenzo art director Piero Lissoni. "The yacht reuses traditional elements and evokes the grace of the 1960s but leaps forward into 2030. It’s a modern yacht with many innovations, simply expressed through a softened aesthetic language."
The living spaces unfold across three levels, including a mezzanine that connects the main and lower decks. Guests can enjoy a lounge, bar and helm station at the stern, while the main saloon features full-height glazing and easy access to the cockpit. A sculptural circular staircase leads to the slightly lower mezzanine, which houses the dining area, directly linked to a fully equipped galley and quarters for three crew. This intermediate level benefits from natural light filtered through the superstructure’s glazing for a "soft, atmospheric transition between spaces".
The main deck is guided by a single-living layout and finished with a sustainable synthetic reinterpretation of natural teak, selected for its "near-zero maintenance" and reduced surface temperature. Meanwhile, the superstructure is developed over two levels, from the cockpit to the dedicated relaxation area at the bow (complete with solarium) and the sundeck, where a Smart Island system allows for flexible furniture configurations. The stern is discreet while navigating but opens at anchor to create a sea-level terrace that "expands the yacht’s spatial experience".
"SHE represents a journey seven decades in the making," explained Sanlorenzo Group CEO Massimo Perotti. "A yacht reflecting everything we believe in: elegance that doesn’t shout, innovation that respects, design that endures. Launching this design during the 20th anniversary of my custodianship of Sanlorenzo is deeply meaningful. SHE is a bridge between what we’ve inherited and what we choose to become.”
On the technical side, SHE is the first yacht in the Sanlorenzo fleet to integrate Volvo Penta’s hybrid IPS propulsion system, a dual-energy solution harmonising electric and diesel power. Equipped with twin IPS30 units (2 x 1000hp), SHE is expected to reach a 20-knot cruising speed in hybrid setting. In full-electric mode, the yacht can navigate silently up to nine knots.
Complementing this advanced propulsion system is a bespoke, 3.9-metre carbon-fibre tender, also equipped with an electric propulsion system.
