US-headquartered Outer Reef Yachts has announced the delivery of the second unit from its Classic 900 motor yacht series, now christened Emmy. The 27.2-metre new build was photographed on transport departing the Port of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, near the yard's facilities, en route to her owners in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The Classic 900 stands as the largest offering in the Outer Reef X Class series, designed by Jeff Druek with naval architecture developed by Chaucer Chen and interiors penned in-house by the shipyard. Emmy follows the first from the series, Julianne, on the water, which was delivered in 2021.
According to the yard, the line delivers "superyacht-level volume" paired with long-range capability and state-of-the-art technology. The model has been designed for experienced cruisers who enjoy entertaining as well as life on board with pets.
Accommodation is for eight guests across four en suite cabins, including a full-beam master suite amidships and a VIP cabin forward. The new build's interior is yet to be revealed, but her predecessor, Julianne, is decorated in a palette of rich woods, blue leathers and a nautical cream and navy colour scheme.
The yacht is capable of cruising at speeds of nine to 22 knots and reaching a top speed of up to 24 knots, powered by twin 750hp John Deere 6135 diesel engines. Key specs include a 6.4-metre beam and a draught of 1.7 metres.
According to BOATPro, the shipyard has delivered 14 yachts to date, with Emmy set to become its 15th.
