Superyacht Lady Gaga launched by Horizon

5 October 2011 • Written by Raphael Montigneaux

Taiwanese yard Horizon has been extremely busy in recent days, most notably with Asian clients. Their second order over 30 metres for a Chinese owner was reported yesterday, and today the yard has released more details about the first order.

With a length of 33.53 metres, Lady Gaga comes from the successful RP series, but at the owner's request this composite motor yacht was entirely customised inside and out. What stands out in the yacht's exterior styling is its vertical window line and wide beam, which makes its interior particularly light and spacious.

The interior is classic modern in style with luxurious features such as the striking yin-yang-shaped Swarovski ceiling light in the main saloon and the Biaco Pinta Verde marble table top in the dining room forward. Eight guests are accommodated in a master suite forward on the main deck and three cabins on the lower deck comprising a full-beam VIP with large windows and two twin cabins.

Powered to a top speed of 22 knots by twin 1,900hp Caterpillar C-32A engines, the yacht has a range of 1,200 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Lady Gaga has successfully completed her sea trials and her delivery is scheduled for the end of the month.
