Turkish yard Turquoise Yachts has announced that it has a new, 81.3-metre superyacht under construction, ahead of the project's official unveiling at this year's Monaco Yacht Show. Named Rafale, the new build has British studio H2 Yacht Design at the helm of design, characterised by five decks, a swooping sheer line and "seamless glazing" for panoramic views throughout.
Developing this "sculptural" aesthetic are her tiered exterior spaces, featuring a water-level beach club with openings on three sides, three pools (located on the main, owner and sundecks) and a mix of shaded and open-air zones for dining, entertaining and lounging.
Accommodation is across six guest cabins and an owner's suite, with the latter complete with a private office, his and hers dressing rooms and bathrooms and direct access to a private terrace and pool forward.
Other highlights include a heli-capable bow, a beach club bar, formal dining for 16 guests and a spiral staircase "at the heart of [Rafale]". Her storage is also worthy of note, able to house 9.6-metre and 8.6-metre tenders, two Jet Skis and a waverunner.
Her hybrid propulsion system pairs twin MTU engines with up to 1920kWh battery capacity, enabling a 17-knot top speed alongside flexible, efficient cruising with reduced emissions.
Delivery is expected in late 2028.
According to BOATPro, Turquoise Yachts has four, 75-metre-plus projects on order or under construction, with Rafale the second largest. The Turkish yard is headed by the Barwani family, which recently sold its other major yachting brand, Oceanco, to American video game developer Gabe Newell.
