The staircase on board Chasseur feels somewhat out of place on board a luxury superyacht - a sci-fi movie seems quite fitting instead. Panels of floating glass tread are illuminated by diffused LED lighting, bordered by a textured wall and lit handrail, which beautifully frames the curved ascent. The colour of the cantilevered glass can also change colour tones at the touch of a button, moving from cool blue, perfect for evening parties, to a soft yellow, cohesive with the rising sun. It's no wonder that it has previously been branded "innovative".

Phoenix 2
Steeped in New York glamour, the 90-metre Lürssen Phoenix 2 is home to skyscraper silhouettes and 1920s Art Deco motifs. Her staircase is central to the theme, as a sweeping, spiralled structure paired with a glass-enclosed lift that serves all decks. Built in aluminium, the staircase has been finished in a riveted, industrial style reminiscent of the Second Industrial Revolution. The bannisters emulate the wings of a phoenix, while the carpet's Empire State Building motif widens as guests ascend. The owner's suite continues this iconic city theme with a private glass spiral staircase set against a vibrant mural of New York.
