Axioma: Last minute charter availability for the Monaco Grand Prix
Witness wheel-to-wheel racing down the narrow streets of Monte Carlo and the revelry of the French Riviera rolled into one epic weekend on board one of the most sought after yachts on the water.
The Monaco Grand Prix is a headline fixture for those cruising the Cote d’Azur in May and there is truly no better way to experience the glamour of a Formula One race weekend than from the decks of Axioma.
Every year, the crème de la crème of the yachting world descend on the small principality of Monaco over an extended weekend - and the 72-metre Axioma is no stranger to the festivities. With last minute charter availability, YPI presents a rare opportunity to enjoy the Grand Prix as it was truly intended, from the heights of a sundeck with a glass of bubbles in hand.
To celebrate the return of the Monaco Grand Prix, after organisers were forced to cancel last year, Axioma is offering a special charter rate that includes coveted VIP tickets for you and your guests.
After a day spent trackside, the crew will be waiting in Port Hercules accompanied by a brand new Fjord 44 Coupe tender to whisk guests back in time for sundowners before the evening’s antics begin. Naturally, the sun deck serves as the choice spot to raise a glass and make a toast, before guests descend to the upper deck to indulge in a six-course spread served al fresco with a 270-degree view of the Monaco skyline. Axioma's onboard chef Sascha Lenz has prepared new menus to tickle the tastebuds of every member of the charter party.
As the sun dips below the high-rises, the sun deck transforms into an open-air disco, working in harmony with the bridge deck aft, where a swim-up/sit-up bar allows drinks to be kept flowing into the early hours. And rumour has it, Axioma’s 20-strong crew are among the best party planners in the business.
Should guests find themselves with a moment of downtime, there is plenty to keep each member of the family occupied on board. The infinity pool is an inviting option on balmy summer days, or those who prefer something a little more high-octane can recreate the thrill of the racecourse by taking Axioma's Jet Skis for a spin. A six-person paddleboard, 6.5-metre superyacht slide, Hobie mirage pedal kayak, and Aquaglide inflatable jungle gym are all new additions to her burgeoning toy box with a highly skilled crew on hand to show you the ropes. There's even a kite surfing instructor and diving instructor onboard for those who fancy learning a new skill during their stay.
Accommodation is for a total of 12 guests across six sumptuous cabins with a beach-house interior courtesy of the late Alberto Pinto. As the day draws to a close, primary guests can retreat to the owner’s apartment, located on its own deck, with a private terrace that overlooks the infinity pool. A master-sized VIP suite sits forward on the main deck, while the remaining guests have their run of the lower deck with a choice of two double cabins and two convertible twins.
The Monaco Grand Prix officially kicks off on Thursday, May 20 with qualifying taking place on the Saturday ahead of the main event on Sunday. This year, the event will run with reduced capacity and spectators will be required to present a negative Covid-19 test result to attend.
Axioma is managed for charter by YPI and is offering a special charter rate for the Grand Prix including VIP tickets, with additional availability throughout 2021. Fresh from an extended refit period, she is raring to go this summer, following successful back-to-back seasons last year.
