H2 Yacht Design

History

Superyacht designers H2 Yacht Design were founded in 1994 in London by director Jonny Horsfield, who graduated from Coventry University after studying car design, and who quickly found a passion for superyacht styling after working first with designer Martin Francis and then spending five years under the renowned superyacht designer Donald Starkey.

For the first 11 years, H2 Yacht Design worked on superyacht refits, but that changed in 2005 when they won the contract for the interior design of the 54 metre Proteksan superyacht Talisman C – H2’s first new-build. Since then, H2 has done exterior styling and interior design for a notable number of new yachts. In addition, H2 have a opened a second studio in Nice, South of France.

Notable yachts

Responsible for the interior design, the VARD 194.9 metre superyacht Rev Ocean is the both the largest yacht in the world and H2 Yacht Design’s launch to date, the studio has several other projects in build in Europe. Jonny Horsfield and his team can also claim credit for the interior and exterior design of Feadship’s Arrow and full SOLAS Maryah, – at 75 metres and 120 metres respectively – along with the interior design of 80 metre Bilgin Al Reem.
