A $500,000 price drop has been announced on the 34.1-metre Alloy Yachts sailing yacht Legend, listed for sale with Neil Emmott of Superyacht Sales and Charter.
Delivered in 1999 and built in New Zealand, she was designed by Ron Holland Design, who also completed the naval architecture, while her interiors came from the drawing boards of Redman Whiteley. She received major refits in 2016 and 2022 and is currently undergoing a refit in Savannah, Georgia.
Her performance as a capable racing sailing yacht saw her win all three races in her class in the 2019 St Barths Bucket with the previous owner at the helm, achieving the largest cumulative margin in Bucket history.
Legend's interiors are teak and feature raised-panel joinery, characterised by soft colourings.
The deck saloon offers a large dining table paired with a soft built-in sofa, while a few steps down, access is provided to the well-proportioned full-beam main saloon. On the port side of the space is a comfortable seating area with built-in sofas and a cocktail table, with a dining area opposite on the starboard side with a settee.
The sailing yacht accommodates up to six guests in three aft cabins, including a full-beam master, a port double and a convertible starboard cabin. The master suite features a walk-around queen berth, an L-shaped settee, a bureau and a split en suite with a marble shower.
Forward of the galley, crew quarters comfortably accommodate four to five, complete with a dedicated crew mess.
One of her greatest aspects is the two-cockpit design, offering both a private owner’s cockpit aft and a spacious centre cockpit ideal for socialising, dining and comfortable sailing. The helm is positioned just aft, with easy access to the side decks.
Under power, the yacht for sale's top speed is 12.5 knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 3,750 nautical miles at 10 knots, with power coming from her MTU diesel engine.
Legend is now asking $2,500,000.
