Welsh shipyard Brythonic Yachts and South African studio KND Naval Design have announced that construction has commenced on a new 31.5-metre superyacht. Currently being built on-spec at KND's Cape Town facilities and listed for sale, the four-deck, all-aluminium vessel (currently without a project name) is expected to make its debut at the 2027 Monaco Yacht Show.
The new build marks a first-time collaboration for Brythonic Yachts and KND Naval Design, who will be working together on both the project management and new build construction. Exterior design and naval architecture is owed to the latter of the duo, while interiors remain a joint project, styled with artwork by contemporary British artist, Rebecca Grant de Longueuil.
Said to boast an "unparalleled entertainment experience", the design is host to a plethora of onboard amenities, including a cinema room and wine cellar, and has been purpose-built to set a "new standard in luxury yachting".
A large swim platform and spacious aft deck characterise the stern - although this is one of several social deck spaces across the vessel, with a spa and Jacuzzi-clad sundeck up top.
Accommodation comprises five suites for ten guests, while a further four cabins house a crew of seven. Designed with "the utmost attention to comfort and detail", the four double cabins reside on the lower deck, while the owner's suite lies on the main deck, complete with a private sauna and his and hers en suite.
The superyacht is asking upwards of £7,400,000 with Elibra Yachts - the final cost subject to the client’s specific requirements and customisations.
Key specs include an 8.7-metre beam and a 1.3-metre draft, with power coming from twin 1,200hp MAN V8 engines or two 950kW electric drives. According to the yard, the yacht is "ideal for private ownership or those wishing to embark on a charter venture".
