72m CRN project 139 hits the water

Italian yard CRN has launched its new 72-metre project CRN M/Y 139 in a private ceremony at its Ancona facility. It comes after the steel and aluminium vessel was lifted from the construction shed using motorised hydraulic lift trucks in preparation for launch last week.

The full-custom yacht has an exterior designed by Vallicelli Design and interiors by Nuvolari Lenard with input from CRN's in-house team, which also undertook the naval architecture and engineering.

Key numbers include a gross tonnage of 1,880 GT with a beam of 12.4 metres and accommodation for 12 guests and 19 crew.

Details remain sparse about the specifics of the yacht, but the yard has previously revealed the yacht includes “generous indoor and outdoor spaces” and features a “succinct style” with “flowing lines and an elegant aesthetic". It also mentioned the new build features a generous use of glazing, with full-height windows throughout.

CRN, a brand of Ferretti Group, has three other projects in build at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard, including the 67-metre CRN 143, the 85-metre CRN 144, and the 70-metre CRN 145. The news of the launch comes days after Ferretti Group announced its net revenues had topped €1B in 2022.

The sale of the 72-metre yacht was announced in November 2018.
