Lazzara Yachts unveils new 50m flagship yacht model LMY 165

3 March 2026 • Written by Emily Dawkins

US-headquartered yard Lazzara Yachts has unveiled a new flagship addition to its LMY series. The 50-metre LMY 165 has been described by the yard as a "bold and uncompromising" model, in a move that marks the next evolution of the Lazzara Motor Yacht series.

The steel and aluminium flagship model is characterised by a sculpted, elongated profile with expansive structural glazing across its profile, designed to "transform the exterior into a study of light and proportion".

A key feature of the LMY 165 is the aft beach club, which dominates the stern with dual fold-out terraces and a slender integrated pool for a spacious and relaxed waterfront living space. Other exterior deck spaces include a large bow lounge with fixed U-shaped sofas and sunpads and a partially covered sundeck with a forward-facing Jacuzzi.

Inside, accommodation for 12 is across a six-cabin layout comprising a full-beam master suite and five large guest cabins, each one decorated in a "restrained yet sophisticated material palette". Further accommodation is provided for nine crew in five cabins.

In terms of technology, the yacht will integrate a U.S.-patented sea chest system developed by George Chirakadze, president and CEO of Euro Marine Group, Lazzara’s parent company. The system consolidates all seawater intake and discharge systems into one structural component built directly into the hull, and is said by the shipyard to result in enhanced safety margins, simplified servicing and improved hydrodynamic performance.

The model is offered with twin 1,400hp MAN or Caterpillar engines, set to provide a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. Key specs include a beam of 8.8 metres and a draught of 2.3 metres.

The unveiling comes almost a year after Lazzara Yachts announced the sale of its largest yacht project to date, the 49.5-metre EX 165, a sub-500GT explorer yacht built to comply with Lloyd's commercial classification for unrestricted navigation. According to BOATPro, the shipyard has three yachts currently under construction.
