Dutch yard Lynx Yachts has signed a landmark contract for the 32.6-metre YXT 34, the largest vessel in the YXT series to date. Commissioned by a "highly adventurous and athletic owner", the yacht will be used for global exploration and, as such, is capable of housing a full-size submarine, alongside a large tender and a car.

Dutch studio Bernd Weel is leading design on the new model, with Diana Yacht Design overseeing engineering and Julian Moore behind the interiors. Other key specs include an 8.8-metre beam, accommodation for six guests and four crew, and a maximum speed of 17 knots.

"We are really proud to have been selected to design and build such a magnificent yacht that will navigate the world, delivering unforgettable experiences and memories to her owner," said yard founder Slim Bouricha.

Construction will be undertaken at the yard's facilities in Nijkerk, the Netherlands. Full details will be revealed as the build progresses.
