Seventh Mangusta Oceano 44 superyacht Lulus launched in Pisa

29 May 2026 • Written by Emily Dawkins

Italian shipyard Mangusta Yachts, a brand of Overmarine Group, has launched the seventh unit in its Oceano 44 series, Lulus. The 44.5-metre new build hit the water at the Group's facilities in Pisa, Italy, described by the yard as "one of the finest expressions of Mangusta’s vision for long-range cruising".

Lulus was sold in December 2023 by Camper & Nicholsons, commissioned by highly experienced owners and keen charterers, which the brokerage firm said informed the project from the outset. Project management throughout the build was overseen by Camper & Nicholsons New Build Division, and the yacht will remain with the brokerage even after delivery, as she joins their charter fleet.

Constructed in steel and aluminium, the three-deck Oceano 44 is described by the yard as a "modern overwater villa". Italian designer Alberto Mancini is behind the long and contemporary exterior lines, while Italian studio P.L.A.N.A. Design is responsible for the naval architecture.

Model highlights include contemporary design solutions and an extensive use of wide, floor-to-ceiling glazed surfaces for open spaces filled with natural light. The series also stands out for its beach area, which converts into a 180-degree platform over the water thanks to a large opening transom and fold-down side terraces, and the foredeck "Island” with two sunpads within a pool reached by a small bridge.

Lulus' interiors and onboard layout have been curated around the owner's lifestyle by the yard's design team, in line with Mangusta’s "luxury made personal" philosophy. Accommodation is for up to 12 guests in five cabins, including a main deck master suite with a private balcony, two double cabins and two convertible cabins.

Designed for long periods of cruising, the model can deliver a top speed of 15.5 knots and a range of 4,500 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 11 knots. Electric zero-speed and underway stabilisers provide additional comfort onboard.

The fourth unit, The Great Escape, sports a striking, moody exterior that sets her apart from sisterships

“This launch marks a truly significant milestone in a remarkable journey that Camper & Nicholsons has had the privilege of sharing with the Owners - one that began well before the acquisition of this exceptional yacht," said Daniela Duck, managing director of Camper & Nicholsons Italy & group head of new build.

She continued: "We are deeply proud of, and sincerely grateful for, the trust the owners have placed in Camper & Nicholsons over the years: first through chartering, now throughout the build and with her art & decor outfitting, and into the future as we manage their distinctive vessel. Our sincere thanks also go to Overmarine for crafting this outstanding yacht for the owners."

Lulus now joins recent sisterships Dorsia, which was launched last year as the sixth from the series, alongside Eva4Eva and The Great Escape. BOATPro reports the yard to have 25 yachts on order or under construction, including the fourth 33.9-metre Mangusta GranSport 34, which was recently secured through a new dealership agreement in Greece.
