The 26.4-metre Marlow yacht Indigo (ex Lady Eme) has been grounded in Sarasota, Florida. Imagery shows the swim platform almost entirely lifted out of the water, forcing Indigo to tilt on her starboard side.
The cause of the incident is unconfirmed though local reports have attributed it to the inclement weather caused by Hurricane Milton. The hurricane made landfall on the west coast of Florida on Wednesday night (9 October) as a Category Three hurricane. It was downgraded to Category One by the time it reached Central Florida but still brought high winds and torrential rain.
Delivered in 2015, Indigo belongs to the Marlow 90 series and was designed inside and out by the US yard. Accommodation is for seven guests, with highlights that include an outside cockpit, a traditional country kitchen with 360-degree views and a top speed of 26 knots.
BOAT International will update the story as it develops.
