The dates for the 2026 edition of the New Zealand Millennium Cup have been announced, with the competing fleet set to return to Auckland from 31 January to 3 February.

One of the South Pacific's top superyacht regattas, this year's event concluded with a high-stakes victory for the 34.1-metre Kawil, who made a clean sweep for the finish line and cemented her position as a two-time Cup winner. It also marked  the first regatta appearance of the 81-metre Sea Eagle, Royal Huisman's second-largest sailing yacht to date.

"After an incredible event at the start of this year, we’re thrilled to have stronger and earlier interest from yachts wishing to compete next year, than ever before," said organiser Stacey Cook. "We've got some incredible yachts lined up for 2026 which are well-known on the regatta circuit but which have never raced in the Southern Hemisphere. We can’t wait to announce them!"

"This is a regatta the way regattas should be. The people are genuine and it was the most down to earth, real, fun and welcoming experience. If you want to experience racing down under, you need to race this regatta,” said Burgen van der Walt, captain of 2024 winner Perseus^3.

The regatta’s headquarters have been in the heart of central Auckland since 2023.
