Fort Lauderdale-based shipyard Ocean Alexander has announced the sale of the latest 32.5-metre motor yacht from its 32L series. The new build has been sold to a first-time Ocean Alexander owner, with Bruce Siler, Ocean Alexander brand manager for MarineMax, and Steve Hall of Great Southern Yacht Sales closing the deal.
The sale of the new 32L followed an intimate conversation on board the owner's previous yacht, a 2020, 28-metre build. The yard noted the client's attraction to the model's "classic hull design and spacious open arrangement".
“This was a meaningful sale from the very beginning,” explained Siler. “It was the client’s first Ocean Alexander, and being able to present the 32L in such a personal setting made the process especially memorable. The design made an immediate impact. He responded to the hull lines, the openness of the arrangement, and the feeling of space throughout the yacht.”
Model highlights of the 32.5-metre line include a "highly-livable" layout, five cabins accommodating up to 10 guests and "enhanced" crew circulation. The model also offers sizeable living spaces inspired by design strategies which are "more often associated with much larger yachts". The 32L is powered by twin MAN V12 1,900hp engines with a 4,000-gallon fuel capacity and an interior volume of 210GT.
Speaking of the interior design on board the model, Dan Mundy, head of global operations at Ocean Alexander, said: “On the 32L, we made a deliberate effort to create an interior that feels warmer, softer and more connected to the way owners want to live on board today."
He continued: "The updated interiors feature more natural materials and a more residential sense of comfort, elevated further through our collaboration with Poltrona Frau on select sofas and chairs. The result is an atmosphere that feels refined and inviting, while still reflecting the scale and sophistication expected of an Ocean Alexander.”
“I love the Ocean Alexander brand,” concluded Siler. “As the [shipyard's] brand manager for MarineMax, I have great confidence in what these yachts deliver. The quality of build, advanced systems, and the spacious interior and deck areas continue to lead the industry. When I present an Ocean Alexander to a client, I know I am showing a yacht with real strength in both design and ownership experience.”
The news comes shortly after the shipyard unveiled two new yacht models to complete its popular Puro series.
