Dutch yard Royal Huisman has unveiled a 55 metre “smart” superyacht concept named Sangi ahead of the Monaco Yacht Show next week.
Designed by Cor D Rover with naval architecture by Van Oossanen, the concept focuses on performance, range and economy while limiting environmental impact.
Billed as a “smart” superyacht, Sangi features a lightweight aluminium hill with “smart” propulsion options and energy management.
Hybrid and fully electric propulsion options are available alongside smart energy management systems to optimise power generation, storage and usage.
Sangi, which means “change” in the universal language Esperanto, also dedicates less hull space to machinery, resulting in more living areas on board. Extensive customisation is available, with the owner encouraged to create their own layout, styling and propulsion. The owner can even opt to remodel the yacht’s superstructure.
The customised sub-500GT interior is left open to the owner’s interpretation and can include accommodation for at least 10 guests. Features include a cinema and stunning owner’s suite, while the tenders are stored on Sangi’s foredeck.
More information about Sangi will be presented at next week’s Monaco Yacht Show.
