Italian yard Rosetti Superyachts has laid the keel on the second hull in its 38 metre RSY explorer series and revealed her interior designers. The construction milestone took place with the owners present at the Rosetti Marino Group Shipyard in Ravenna, Italy.
This comes after the hull was sold in December 2021, with Burgess introducing the owners.Read More/Rosetti Superyachts reveals first renderings of 40m explorer project
Speaking about the milestone, Rosetti's chairman and chief executive Ermanno Bellettini said: "We are extremely proud to see the passion and enthusiasm in the eyes of the owners and all our colleagues at this special keel-laying."
With a delivery date slated for August 2023, the second hull is set to sport interiors by BurdissoCapponi Yachts & Design who were chosen specifically by the owners.
The yacht will be the sistership to the first model Emocean, which debuted at this year's Cannes Yachting Festival after launching in June 2021. Designed by Hydro Tec, the 38m Rosetti explorer features a steel hull and aluminium superstructure.
The yacht will be powered by twin MAN D2868 LE 425 engines for a top speed of 13 knots and a cruising speed of 10 to 11 knots.
