Turkish shipyard VisionF Yachts has announced the delivery of the second unit from its all-electric E-Cat 80 catamaran series, now christened Gloriamaris.
The 24-metre yacht hit the water in August 2025 at the yard's new build facilities in Tuzla, Istanbul, unveiling her lightweight carbon fibre build, lean hulls and clean, contemporary lines by Marco Casali of Too Design.
She joins the first in the series, Atraversia, which was delivered in April 2025, yet is said by the yard to introduce "several exciting updates" to the semi-custom model. New additions include an extended roof to accommodate extra solar panels and an "upgraded" flybridge with a dedicated music room (complete with a piano and a harp) and a Jacuzzi.
The owner, a passionate diver, also requested a custom dive cabinet for scuba tanks as well as a direct connection to a high-capacity air and nitrox compressor.
“I expect to use this boat as an adventure boat,” said Gloriamaris' owner, who previously cruised on a 15-metre sailing catamaran. “Summers in the Med, winters in the Red, that’s the goal. Beyond that, I’m hoping to take it further afield, to the Indian Ocean. One reason I got a bigger boat is because I want to travel to very remote parts of the world, and this should be the platform that makes it happen.”
Gloriamaris also features five cabins – instead of Atraversia's four – accommodating up to 12 guests. The new fifth cabin has been designed as a dedicated children's room for the owner to welcome his grandchildren on board. Envisioned as a "true family yacht", the new build also features provisions for teaching young adults how to scuba dive. Crew comfort was also a priority, with accommodation for four crew in addition to an "exceptional" en suite captain’s cabin.
Repeated series highlights include spacious living areas – thanks to the model's generous 10.9-metre beam – and a 15-square-metre tender garage capable of accommodating an extensive array of water toys, complete with a hydraulic stern hatch, electric winch and secure tender lashing system.
Twin Danfoss electric motors and a bow and stern thruster provide "exceptional agility and control", with cruising speeds of between six to eight knots. Thanks to her additional solar panels, the second model from the series is equipped with 63 solar panels that continuously charge her batteries and generate up to 25.2kW per hour, allowing her to cruise without depending on external power.
Twin 150kW generators and a five-tonne fuel reserve, offering a range of 3,500 nautical miles, provide backup energy for emergencies and boost the yacht's efficiency when cruising at high speeds.
“I’ve spent most of my life on the water, and one of the things that always distressed me about cruising, fishing or diving is the carbon footprint,” explained the owner. “On a conventional boat, you can easily spend more than a thousand dollars a day on fuel. The ability to harness solar power and spend time in port or at anchor without running engines has always been very appealing to me. Combined with the lack of noise and diesel fumes, it makes a significant difference.”
The E-Cat 80 model has been optimised for both private and charter use, yet the yard noted how the arrangement can be customised to suit exacting owner requirements, as demonstrated in this second unit.
According to BOATPro, the shipyard currently has two 24-metre-plus yachts under construction, including the first from its "ultramodern" 30.7-metre 101 catamaran model, which was launched in November.
