Italian yard Extra Yachts, a brand of Palumbo Superyachts, has sold its third X100 Triplex model to a European client represented by Renaud Canivet of Ocean Drive. This follows the sale of the first two units late last year.
According to the yard, the X100 Triplex has been conceived to "redefine the concept of comfort and onboard living", characterised by generous interior spaces (complemented by an 8.1-metre beam), efficient fuel consumption and long-range cruising. Exterior design is by Studio Agon, an Italian studio which recently collaborated with Extra Yachts on a 44-metre explorer yacht concept.
Built in composite with carbon reinforcements, the 30-metre hull has a volume of 260GT which is said to be comparable to "yachts over 40 metres". Large opening windows on both the main and upper decks enhance the sense on space onboard, as does the main deck owner's cabin with its panoramic forward views and private office. Accommodation is for up to 10 guests across four double en suite cabins, all on the lower deck, while separate crew quarters host up to five members in three cabins and include an independent laundry area.
The aft cockpit, developed on two levels, offers a sunbathing area and an informal lounge with fold-down side terraces. A second lounge can be found on the upper deck, comprised of modular furniture and situated alongside an outdoor area with a bar and a dining table for 10 guests.
Meanwhile, the aft garage houses a four-meter tender, SeaBob and additional water toys.
Propulsion is provided by two MAN engines of 1800hp, which power the X100 Triplex to a top speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.
According to BOATPro, Extra Yachts has two superyacht projects currently under construction at its Ancona facilities. Palumbo Superyachts has celebrated great success under its ISA Yachts brand this season, with the sale of a 60-metre and 100-metre flagship model.
