Where is the Talise Spa?
Located in the labyrinthine mini-city of Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai, the Talise Spa can be found within the Jumeirah Al Qasr hotel. Sitting at the southern end of the 40-hectare Madiant complex, the spa can be accessed by foot, buggy or via a ride on one of the hotel’s traditional Arabic water taxis, known as “abras”. This Talise spa also serves the guests of the neighbouring Jumeirah Mina A’Salam and Jumeirah Al Naseem hotels.

The City of Gold can be somewhat dazzling after a night of over-indulgence. When those glinting skyscrapers feel particularly challenging, you can head to the hotel’s Talise spa. Nestled amid the waterways of the vast pastel pink complex, designed as a re-creation of ancient Arabia, the spa’s eucalyptus and palm tree lined gardens offer a tranquil escape from the razzmatazz of the Emirate.
What are the best treatments at Talise Spa?
The open-minded can try the AlphaSphere Deluxe experience: a space-aged room that uses a combination of sound, colour, light, vibration, temperature and scent to stimulate the senses. Lying on a soft bed, these inputs are tweaked for various benefits, such as lowering the heart rate and blood pressure or reducing stress hormones. Team this with one of its signature facials (men can opt for the Margy’s Super Lift, to reduce fine lines around the eyes and regulate the secretion of sebum) and you will be ready for whatever Dubai has to throw at you (or at least be able to face the Swarovski crystal chandeliers in the main lobby).
Best by boat
