RWD

History

Over the past three decades, this leading design studio has built a reputation for highly  refined, understated elegance. Making the creative process an enjoyable collaborative  journey, RWD takes time to get to know each client’s personality and brief before  imaginatively exploring how to realise their vision.

Purity of line and beauty of form epitomise RWD’s ethos, and the studio takes an artistic,  drawing-led approach to evoke character and emotion. Practicalities remain paramount,  with all features given the utmost consideration and attention to detail, while years of  knowledge and experience enable the studio to work alongside shipyards to drive  innovation and achieve the highest standards.

Based on the banks of the picturesque Beaulieu River, on the South Coast of England,  RWD’s 60-strong team comprises a diverse array of creative talents with a mix of  architects, industrial designers, car designers, interior architects and yacht designers.

Notable yachts

Among RWD’s recent completions are the motor yachts Juice, Sherpa and Podium and  the acclaimed conversion of Ragnar. Other notable custom yachts include Faith, Hasna,  VAVA, Twizzle, Baton Rouge, Elfje, Ilona and Hampshire as well as the 155m Lürssenbuilt Al Said, the studio’s largest yacht to date.

In conjunction with Benetti, RWD has designed the highly successful B.Now and Oasis  series. The B.Now range includes 50, 60, 67 and 72m models, while the Oasis is available  in 34 or 40m models
