by Malcolm MacLean
The 33.5 metre motor yacht Kaleen, listed for sale by Whit Kirtland at Bradford Marine Yacht Sales has had a $250,000 price reduction, bringing her below the $1 million mark.
Kaleen was built in aluminium by US superyacht shipyard Broward Marine with delivery in 1983 and features a full-beam main saloon decorated in teak panelling with cream coloured carpets and furnishings in soft beige tones and has black granite highlights. A long beige coloured settee faces a curved wet bar and an entertainment centre including a large television on a rise and fall mechanism and a surround sound stereo system. Forward is a formal dining area with upholstered seating for eight guests around a glass- topped table.
Accommodation is for up to nine guests in four cabins. The master suite is full-beam amidships with a his and hers en-suite bathroom, while the VIP suite is forward on the main deck with large ocean-view windows. A double cabin is situated to port with a twin cabin to starboard, and all cabins come with full entertainment systems, television screens and en-suite bathroom facilities.
The aft deck is configured for al fresco entertainment and dining, offering an L-shaped settee, four teak chairs and a table while a wet bar with icemaker is close to hand, located at the bulkhead to port. Up in the sky lounge is a cosy informal area with a large, black leather L-shaped settee, a glass coffee table and tub chair.
This yacht for sale cruises at 11 knots, powered by twin Detroit Diesel 12V71 engines.
Kaleen is now asking $750,000.
