From the biggest and boldest yachts under construction to record breaking builds, this list rounds up the industry's standout in-build superyachts due for completion in 2021

The 142 metre  Lürssen superyacht Nord is to become the 10th largest yacht in the world following her delivery in early 2021. Designed by Italian studio Nuvolari Lenard, the six decked yacht boasts a number of high-end features, including a sports and diving centre on the lower deck, swimming pool, two superyacht helipads and a fleet of accompanying tenders.

Project 816

Currently being completed at Feadship’s Amsterdam facility, the secretive 88.38 metre Project 816 will feature a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, four decks and a beam of 13.5 metres. Little else is currently known about this superyacht which will emerge from the shed next year.

Oceanco Y719

Due for completion in 2021, Project Y719 is both the largest yacht currently under construction in the Netherlands and will be the largest yacht ever built by the Dutch yard when complete. While details remain sparse, it is known that Y719 features a steel hull and aluminium superstructure and will have five decks.

Glimpsed for the first time only earlier this year, Lürssen’s in-build 90 metre Project 1601 features exterior design penned by the legendary Espen Øino. Øino’s design will be “dominated by planar surfaces, straight lines and angular corners,” according to the yard, while interior design will be penned by Dölker + Voges.

Project Black Shark

Currently underway at Nobiskrug, the 77 metre Project Black Shark is designed by Winch Design and features a distinctive reverse bow. When complete, the superyacht will boast a matte black hull to mimic the skin of the black shark. The mast meanwhile has been specifically designed to resemble a shark’s fin. Interior design has been penned by Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design but the accommodation layout is not yet known.

Project Enzo

Lürssen’s 116 metre Project Enzo hit the water for the first time last year and is now approaching completion. Sold by Moran Yacht & Ship in 2018, Project Enzo features exterior and interior penned by Nuvolari Lenard in collaboration with Simone Feltrin.

Recently launched and due for delivery next year, the 76.5 metre Feadship yacht Boardwalk has been designed by De Voogt Naval Architects and features a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Commissioned by an experience yachtsman, the project first began outfitting back in December 2019.

Majesty 175

53.34 metres

After beginning construction in 2017, the 53.34 metre Gulf Craft flagship recently launched and is due for completion in 2021. The yacht features a 780GT interior designed by Cristiano Gatto and features a main deck gym and elevator servicing all four decks. Accommodation is for a total of 14 guests in seven cabins, including a private owner's suite on the upper deck and VIP accommodation on the main deck. Other features include a foredeck swimming pool and beach club aft.

Amels Custom 78m

The largest-ever fully custom Amels superyacht was designed by Espen Øino and is due for delivery in 2021. Key features include a 2,850GT interior penned by François Zuretti and plentiful outdoor relaxation areas including a spa pool and large sunbathing area on the foredeck.

Project Phi

55 metres

Currently underway at Royal Huisman, the 55 metre superyacht Project Phi is due for delivery next year. Exterior design comes from Cor D Rover while Van Oossanen Naval Architects is behind the naval architecture. The sub-500GT interior meanwhile has been penned by Lawson Robb and includes accommodation for a total of 12 guests and 11 staff.
