Turkish shipyard Ada Yacht Works and Italian design studio Luca Dini Design & Architecture have announced that the keel of a new 49.9-metre superyacht, named DaGuSha VII, has been laid.
The new build is the fourth unit from the shipyard's 50-metre series, though becomes the first from its new Elite line, which has been conceived and designed entirely by the Italian studio. Construction is now officially underway at Ada's facilities, with DaGuSha VII scheduled for delivery in 2028.
The collaboration between the shipyard and the studio began with the interior design of the 50-metre Legasea, which was unveiled at last year's Monaco Yacht Show, and has since grown with two additional units featuring interior design by Luca Dini, also currently under construction.
“This project represents a new chapter in our partnership with Ada Yacht Works”, said Luca Dini, president and CEO of Luca Dini Design & Architecture. “Designing both the exterior and interior allowed us to create a seamless design language throughout the yacht, where proportion, harmony and lifestyle are perfectly aligned. With the Elite series, we are proud to contribute to the evolution of a distinctive 50-metre platform and to see our shared vision take shape”.
Like its predecessors, the steel and aluminium new build will combine "efficiency, comfort and contemporary elegance" at 499GT, according to the studio, but will be brought to life by a new design approach defined by clean, architectural lines and a strong harmony between indoor and outdoor spaces. Accommodation is across six cabins for up to 14 guests, in addition to five cabins for a crew of 10.
Twin MAN engines are expected to provide DaGuSha VII with a 16.5-knot maximum speed and a cruising speed of 12 knots. Naval Architecture is by Ginton Naval Architects with engineering from The Circle Naval Architecture. Key specs include an 8.9-metre beam and a draught of 2.6 metres.
According to BOATPro, Ada Yacht Works has three yachts currently under construction, comprising three 50-metre builds. Deliveries of the second and third units, which feature exteriors from Uldas Yacht Design, are scheduled for this year.
