The Oyster Palma Regatta wrapped up in Port Adriano last week after four days of intense racing across the brilliant waters and rocky inlets of Palma de Mallorca. Regatta veteran Blow was this year's standout, claiming Class 2 honours alongside the overall Oyster Cup for the second time since its inception.
The fleet participated in five races of different formats – around the cans, windward-leeward and two pursuit races – with results contributing to the overall series and the Oyster Cup.
Conditions varied, with 17 Oyster yachts facing everything from light breezes to 17 knots of wind, big swells and huge downpours.
Oyster 495 Mayfly won Class 3 following several close calls with the recently-delivered Starr, with victories in four out of five races. Meanwhile, the 27.1-metre Lush took the win in Class 1 on countback, with sistership Karibu following close behind with two races won.
"The Oyster Palma Regatta was an unforgettable week for everyone involved," said Ashley Highfield, CEO of Oyster Yachts. "It was great to see so many Oyster yachts, old and new, sailing together – that is what we are all about, the Oyster family enjoying time together."
The final evening and prizegiving was held at the 17th-century estate Ses Cases de sa Font Seca.
The next regatta will be held from 7 to 11 April 2025 in Antigua, Caribbean.
