Cantiere delle Marche has announced the sale of its first RJ155 explorer yacht, which will become the shipyard's largest project to date.
The 45 metre steel-hulled yacht has been conceived as a "pure-bred" explorer and commissioned by a repeat client of Cantiere delle Marche. With delivery scheduled for early 2025, the RJ155 will be the flagship of the RJ series, of which five units have already been sold.
Francesco Paszkowski, who is responsible for the signature lines of the RJ range, has created her profile with its elongated overhangs and oversized stern verandas for guests to enjoy. Naval architecture has been handled by Pierluigi Ausonio.
The RJ155 model is set across three decks and a sundeck with a gross tonnage that sits below the 500GT threshold. The interior contract has been awarded to Achille Salvagni and the owner's brief requires accommodation for up to 12 guests in five suites. The owner's suite is located on the main deck forward with a large "super-equipped" gym.
"Despite her elegant lines, she encompasses all characteristics of an oceangoing explorer yacht: robustness, seaworthiness, long range, generous interior areas for both guests and crew, plenty of storage spaces, fridges and freezers and high-end equipment," the shipyard said.
Power comes from twin Caterpillar C32 Acert WOSR engines delivering a top speed of 15 knots with two pairs of electric stabilisers for the ultimate comfort during long passages at sea. Combined with fuel tanks with a total capacity of 65,000 litres, the RJ155 will be able to travel over 5,000 nautical miles at nine knots without the need to provision or refuel.
Other highlights include large exterior decks and more than sufficient toy and tender storage split between the foredeck and lazarette.
“We are extremely satisfied about the appeal of the RJ series”, said Vasco Buonpensiere, sales and marketing director at Cantiere delle Marche. “We are also very honoured by the confidence that another of our existing clients has put in us to deliver such an extraordinary vessel, which undoubtedly, will bring Cantiere delle Marche to another level. Being entrusted for the second time by such an experienced yachtsman is a source of great pride for our shipyard and everyone will work tirelessly to ensure the owners can enjoy their new yacht as scheduled in early 2025.”
The RJ 155 is five metres longer than the current series flagship named RJ.
