The 23 metre chase boat Stargazer recently launched by Dutch yard Claasen Shipyards has now been delivered.

The motor yacht has now been transported to Tahiti where she has met her sailing superyacht mothership.

Launched on April 11, the project marked the first build collaboration between Claasen and fellow Dutch yard Vitters.

Speaking about the collaboration, project manager Joris Slecht of Claasen said: “The co-operation went smoothly and enabled us to successfully finish the project.”

Described as a “large classic lined motorboat”, Stargazer was designed by Hoek Design Naval Architects with the company handling all naval architecture, exterior and interior design. The yacht marks the 27th collaboration between Hoek and Claasen.

Company owner André Hoek described the yacht as “a timeless and classic design which perfectly fits the style of the mothership”.

Built from a lightweight aluminium hull, Stargazer features a 6.6 metre beam and will be used as a support vessel for a sailing superyacht.

She will be used to transport guests from the shore to the mothership, hold extra stores and serve as a diving platform in shallow lagoons. She will also accommodate extra crew and guests in two double cabins and one twin cabin.
