Yards Join Superyacht Quarantine Creativity Campaign

Superyacht yards Heesen and Lürssen have created yacht colouring pages to help keep those in self-isolation occupied.

The yards have joined design studio ThirtyC, which created its own #stayathome superyacht colouring page to provide a creative outlet for those in lockdown, especially the children of remote working parents. The page is free to download from the studio's website.

Noticing the resurgence in colouring in as a mindfulness activity, ThirtyC has created its own superyacht inspired colouring page

ThirtyC's colouring stencil features some of the most recognisable superyachts in the industry, as well as underway projects.

“We are sure many will recognise the yachts included” said studio creative director Rob Armstrong. He added that he “wanted to showcase as many [yachts] as possible in support of all the yacht design studios, shipyards and wider superyacht industry”.

Description

Lürssen has followed suit, with its own colouring page featuring the famous 95 metre superyacht Kismet.

Speaking about the light-hearted project, Armstrong added: "Creativity is a great way to cope with isolation. Our studio strives to find fun creative avenues within this sometimes serious industry. We wanted to create something more light-hearted and fun in these challenging times”.

Heesen has released its own colouring page

Armstrong added that he hoped the colouring page would provide "some early superyacht education and also train the real next generation" of yacht designers.
