Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) has announced the launch of the 32.6-metre Nauta Air 108 motor yacht, Tartargua - the sixth unit in the Nauta Air series.
The Nauta Air 108 represents the latest iteration of the Nauta Air series in an "evolved" model, with modern upgrades and new, slender contemporary styling from Italian studio Nauta. Key differences include fashion plates that are visually integrated with tinted windows that run along the main deck, and storage for a six-metre tender and a crane on the main deck forward.
Accommodation for up to 12 guests is split across five cabins on the main and lower decks - the full-beam owner's cabin forward on the main deck. The main saloon features an L-shaped sofa area with a formal dining table, though al fresco living can be enjoyed at the cockpit with its clear aft views or up top on the expansive sundeck.
With the interiors yet to be unveiled, Guido Valtorta, co-director of Nauta, explained: “The interior concept, entirely bespoke, reflects the owner’s lifestyle and sensibility. Architectural geometries meet carefully selected furniture pieces, creating a contemporary yet sophisticated atmosphere. A balanced palette of natural tones, authentic materials, clean lines and subtle organic details — an expression of fine craftsmanship — is enhanced by expansive openings that flood the spaces with light. The result is an ambience of understated elegance and quiet luxury.”
According to the shipyard, the latest Nauta Air 108 is equipped with a Dynamic Positioning System for cruising in areas where anchoring is restricted. Other smart engineering solutions include the yacht's bulbous bow and flat aft sections, designed as such to enhance fuel efficiency and deliver high levels of stability and seakeeping.
“In 2014, with the launch of Yolo, the Nauta Air line marked our first step towards differentiating CdM’s production of semi-custom explorer yachts. It was the first collaboration with internationally renowned design studio Nauta,” said Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and CEO of CdM. “In the Darwinian spirit that has characterised us since the inception, we have continually evolved and moved forward, creating models that meet the requirements of an increasingly diverse and discerning clientele. We adapt to the market while, in our own way, we shape and improve it."
Buonpensiere continued: "Throughout our evolution, we never leave a model behind; instead, we continually refine and improve them to better adapt to the market. The Nauta Air 108 we launched today is a testament to this winning approach. We express our sincere appreciation to Michel Chryssicopoulos, managing partner of IYC, for his valued partnership and dedicated collaboration, which were essential to the successful completion of this project.”

Power is from twin 533kW Caterpillar C18 Acert engines paired with a Selective catalytic Reduction system in compliance with IMO emission standards. Further accommodation sleeps a crew of five with the captain's cabin adjacent to the wheelhouse.
BOATPro indicates CdM has 11 yachts currently in build or on order, including three 49.9-metre Flexplorer 165 units. The launch comes after the news that two 45-metre explorer new build yachts, inspired by the design of Giorgio M. Cassetta, had been sold.
