Dutch shipyard Feadship has presented renderings of a 36.5-metre concept called the Bahamas cruiser at The Palm Beach International Boat Show.
The Bahamas cruiser is an aluminium yacht with modern, clean-cut lines described by Feadship as a “compact superyacht conceived for short breaks and coastal cruising.” It has a “smart layout”, to appeal to “young and old, new and experienced owners.”
The 2.4-metre high ceilings on the main deck provide bright, airy spaces with full-height windows framing the ocean views. Natural light fills the interior, and the yacht concept also provides the option of fold-down bulwarks on the aft deck to enlarge the living space further.
Designed by De Voogt Naval Architects and FM Architettura, this design team collaboration has resulted in a neutral and soothing interior colour palette.
Accommodation is offered across four cabins. The owner’s cabin on the main deck has a spacious en suite and an additional private lounging area.
The concept has been designed with a focus on sustainability, featuring eco-focused technology and a proposal for a teak alternative from “reconstituted stone and powdered marble mixed with resin,” explained Feadship.
This latest Feadship concept aligns with the same focus of their 85-metre concept Slice, with natural light filtering through every deck; Slice was presented at the Monaco Yacht Show last year.
