7 November 2023 • Written by Dea Jusufi

Dunya Yachts' 46.7-metre explorer KB6 (ex. Project DY009) has begun sea trials following her launch from the shipyard's facilities in Pendik, Istanbul.

Construction on the 499GT yacht began in 2020, with delivery expected by the close of this year. KB6 will be listed for charter with IYC in 2024. New images reveal a classic explorer profile, sea blue hull and floor-to-ceiling glazing.

KB6 has been constructed in steel and aluminium

KB6's naval architecture and exterior comes from the drawing board of Gregory C. Marshall (who also designed Nobiskrug's 80-metre Artefact). According to the shipyard, she's been "classed, constructed and outfitted for unrestricted ocean service".

Accommodation will be for 10 guests and 10 crew. While few details have been disclosed, the yacht's interiors have been styled by British studio Design Unlimited.

According to BOATPro, KB6 will be the shipyard's largest yacht on the water after the 72.5-metre Axioma.
