Dutch design studio Mulder Design has unveiled the first details of a new 60-metre superyacht concept known as Apex.
Designed throughout by the studio around a performance-oriented brief, Apex has been developed with high-speed cruising capabilities and a lightweight all-aluminium construction.
First renderings showcase a slender and structured profile, with extensive glazing across the main and upper decks and a sharp, dynamic bow. The sundeck is also a notable feature on board, with an interior space bordered by glass, while nestled into the bow is a large sunpad and sofa for uninterrupted views.
Central to the design is Mulder's High Speed Cruising hull form, which has been engineered to deliver performance across a wide operational profile. As such, the yacht has been designed to "operate comfortably and efficiently" from economical transoceanic passages to high-speed cruising up to 28 knots at light load. Power is from twin MTU engines, which deliver a combined output of 11,532 hp, offering high-speed cruising at 22 knots, long-range cruising at 12 knots and a range of 4,500 nautical miles.
Key specifications include a 10.7-metre beam and a draught of 2.6 metres. Accommodation is for 12 guests and 14 crew, with an interior design that can be tailored to the owner.
Earlier this year, the design studio shared new details and renderings of its 70-metre superyacht concept Project Opal, which was first presented to the industry in 2024.
