The 83-metre Feadship superyacht hull 830, also known as Project Solent, has been technically launched from the NMC shipyard in Alblasserdam, the Netherlands. This marks the first time the new build has been seen following the announcement of her sale in September 2025.

Project Solent was sold by brokerage firm Cecil Wright to a repeat client and features exterior and interiors from British designers Malcolm McKeon of MMYD and Mark Whiteley of MWD, respectively. The former specialises in sailing yachts (known for his work on the 63-metre Project Dreamer and the 59.7-metre Sarissa) but has branched out into motor yachts as of late, seen more recently in a collaboration with Italian yard Benetti.

“Project Solent embodies MMYD’s commitment to timeless design," McKeon said at the announcement of her sale in September. "Her exterior profile is defined by clean, enduring lines, reflecting our belief that true elegance lies in restraint and proportion. This yacht captures the essence of the owner’s vision, distilled into a concept that resonates with MMYD’s design DNA, performance, innovation and a connection with the sea.”

Cecil Wright remains involved throughout the build process as part of the owner’s project management team. All other details of the project remain private, though BOATPro anticipates a volume of 2,707GT across four decks.

Project Solent is now expected to move to outfitting at the Royal Van Lent Kaag facility, ahead of her slated summer 2027 delivery date.

The news comes at a busy time for Feadship, which currently has 17 yachts on order or under construction, according to BOATPro. This includes its 140-metre flagship, the bow of which was sighted for the first time last week.
