Columbus Yachts has revealed more details about its in-build 50 metre custom superyacht Project Lady.
Construction on the yacht is "proceeding rapidly" at Palumbo Superyachts' Ancona based shipyard, the builder said. The yard also revealed new details about the project, which it hopes will become a "reference point" for reducing environmental impact, while maximising comfort.
The yacht will also be packed with innovative technology to ensure it is kept "virus-free". Cold plasma technology will sanitise the air entering the yacht via air conditioning and ventilation while a vaporization system will sanitise specific rooms to eliminate dangerous bacteria.
Part of the builder’s full custom line, Project Lady has been designed inside and out by Marco Casali’s Too-Design while engineering is by the Palumbo Superyachts team in collaboration with Hydrotec.
Built from an aluminium hull and superstructure, Project Lady will feature “sporty lines” and is due for delivery in 2022. Intended for private use and long voyages, Project Lady features a touch-and-go helipad, large swimming pool and large outdoor spaces.
Palumbo Superyachts chief executive Giuseppe Palumbo previously described the project as “innovative, dynamic and cutting-edge”. Project Lady is the result of “a process driven by the collaboration with a customer highly sensitive to environment and elegance that will make this project a new reference point on the market,” he added.
Casali agreed the yacht will be “a reference point for technology dedicated to environmental impact and comfort on board.”
The interior meanwhile will feature “natural and ecological materials”, he said.
