Turkish shipyard Sirena Superyachts has announced the launch of its 42-metre flagship superyacht - a milestone for the builder as its "largest and most ambitious project to date."
The news follows the announcement of the yacht's sale earlier this month, which was completed in-house by Sirena Marine. The new flagship is scheduled to make her global debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
Described as a "waterborne dream home", Luca Vallebona was selected to create the exterior and layout for the Sirena 42M, while Italian studio Hot Lab is the mind behind the yacht's interior spaces. Naval architecture has been developed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects with engineering by Eureka Yachts.
"We are incredibly proud to see the Sirena Superyachts 42M enter the water for the first time," said CEO of Sirena Marine, Çağın Genç. "This launch is the result of the dedication, expertise and passion of our entire team, as well as the trust placed in us by the owner."
He continued: "The 42M is much more than our flagship; it represents the beginning of a new era for Sirena Superyachts and demonstrates our ability to design and build world-class superyachts that combine innovation, quality and long-range cruising capability. We now look forward to unveiling her to the global superyacht community at her world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show."
The flagship has been designed for extended periods at sea, with a focus on versatility and comfort across approximately 433GT of interior volume.
Her interior design is Nordic-meets-Mediterranean, incorporating curves, large fillets and plenty of plants for a relaxed, organic feel. Chosen materials range from natural beech and oak to cotton and chenille for the sofas. This results in a light and desaturated colour range which, according to Hot Lab, emphasises natural light.
Accommodation is across four lower-deck guest cabins, with two VIP cabins featuring transverse beds. While the layout is customisable, the arrangement features an owner's cabin at the bow – a solution designed to provide direct access to a concealed forward patio with lounge chairs and a swing.
Outside, the build features an al fresco dining area on the sundeck and casual sofa seating on the main deck – both providing uninhibited views off the stern. The aft deck houses a large pool with sun loungers, complementary fold-out bulwarks and twin steps leading to a large swim platform.
The design also caters to the younger generation's greater affinity for water sports with generous onboard storage for tenders and toys.
According to BOATPro, Sirena Yachts currently has five yachts in build, including the first Sirena 118, which was launched less than two weeks ago and is scheduled to make her debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
