There was a flurry of action in the brokerage market during September - one of the industry's busiest months of the year with multiple European boat shows. Exclusive data from BOATPro revealed that the total value of sales from the month reached €940.7 million, almost double the total figure recorded in August (€405.1 million).
The significant jump in value can predominantly be attributed to the sale of Feadship's 118.8-metre Breakthrough, the world's first hydrogen superyacht, which was sold in-house at Edmiston. While the yacht's asking price has been withheld* (and also estimated for the purposes of BOATPro's September figures), the sale has been dubbed "the most significant brokerage deal in history".
"Successfully closing the in-house deal on the RWD-designed 119m Feadship Breakthrough, the world's most advanced superyacht, is a milestone for Edmiston and the industry at large", said Edmiston sales broker Alex Busher, who represented the yacht's buyer. The firm's CEO, Jamie Edmiston, represented the seller in the deal.

Other high-value purchases during September included Feadship's 49.5-metre motor yacht Project Fun. Currently in build with delivery scheduled for March 2026, the yacht was secured in a deal between Feadship Resale and Edmiston, asking €65 million.
Benetti's 56-metre Jaguar also changed hands in a deal with Edmiston and Fraser (asking €21.5 million), while the remainder of brokerage sales in September were made up of smaller transactions for yachts listed under €10 million.

Figures from August 2025 revealed a surge of new listings, with 87 yachts adding a total of €1.4 billion to the market. This upwards trend continued into September, as 91 new yachts for sale added €1.5 billion to the market – showing an increase of 7.1 per cent month-on-month.
The figure is also more than double the value recorded in September 2024 (43 new listings valued at €424.9 million), suggesting renewed market confidence from owners eager to market their vessels ahead of the European boat show season.

Taking the top spot for the most expensive new listing was Benetti's 107-metre Mar, asking €195 million with BehneMar and Edmiston, which joined the market days before her attendance as the largest yacht at this year's Monaco Yacht Show.
The industry saw several other big-ticket items listed for sale, many of which were over 50 metres. Boardwalk, the 76.5-metre Feadship famously owned by American businessman and hospitality magnate Tilman Fertitta, was listed for sale with Y.CO asking €165 million. Cecil Wright also added two new Feadship listings: the 66.3-metre Hampshire (asking €85 million) and the 68-metre Lady Christine (asking €55.75 million).
BOATPro also showed a significant spike in price drops during September – likely encouraged by the number of boat shows – with a total of €118.1 million shaved from the market across 91 drops. This was more than triple that of August 2025's €41.1 million and September 2024's €44.9 million.
The largest deduction was €20 million, taken from the 89-metre Amels motor yacht Here Comes the Sun, which is now asking €165,000,000 with Burgess and Y.CO.
