The 28.96 metre classic canoe-stern motor yacht Shyraga, jointly listed for sale by Edmiston & Company and Moravia Yachting, has been sold with the buyer introduced by John Taylor Yachting.
Built in steel by German yard Abeking & Rasmussen to a design by Laurent Giles, she was delivered in 1954 and a full refit in 2008 brought her entirely up to date. Accommodation is for up to nine guests in five cabins consisting of a master suite, VIP suite, two twins and a single guest cabin, all with full en suite facilities. A further three cabins sleep six crewmembers.
Guests can relax in the comfort and charm of her richly appointed interior. Her mahogany panelled saloon is large and comfortable, featuring high end furniture and luxury carpets. The Portuguese bridge leads on to the foredeck, with twin side doors, and has all the equipment one would expect of a true ocean-going vessel. Although constantly updated, great care has been taken to maintain all the original charm of period instruments.
The large protected aft deck is an ideal place for lounging on the generous seating, or dining at the large table on wicker chairs. A further outdoor space is found on the boat deck above, which when cleared of the tenders is a large area offering excellent all fresco relaxation. Her top speed is 12 knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 3,000 nautical miles at 10.5 knots with power coming from two 365hp General Motors 8V71N diesel engines.
Shyraga was asking €2,900,000 with VAT paid.
