Golden Odyssey
Length: 123.2m
Year: 2015
Builder: Lürssen
Lürssen's 123.2-metre Golden Odyssey takes the crown as the largest superyacht by length currently listed for sale. Commissioned for Prince Khalid of Saudi Arabia, the 7,690GT German giant first hit the water 10 years ago, yet has remained notably secretive, even while on the brokerage market. She was designed by Martin Francis, with the late Alberto Pinto overseeing her interiors, said to host 30 guests in 15 cabins in addition to a crew of 70. Despite images remaining hidden, revealed onboard highlights include a 42,000-litre pool on the upper deck and a private owner’s deck which is said to boast two master suites, a spa and wellness area (complete with a steam room, Hammam and treatment room), as well as a private terrace and a Jacuzzi. Golden Odyssey joined the market in September last year before making a surprise entrance to the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show, becoming the largest superyacht ever to attend.

Fresh from the shipyard, Feadship's Breakthrough is already a multi-record-breaker, so her place as the second-largest yacht for sale isn't misplaced. At 118.8 metres, she is the largest motor yacht ever launched in the Netherlands and is now the first superyacht to utilise fuel-cell technology. RWD is responsible for her exterior and interior design – the latter of which is also yet to be revealed – with onboard features said to include a semi-submerged Neptune lounge, a cinema, library, atrium, hospital facility and a "world-leading" 8.2-metre pool. This is all in addition to ample living and dining areas and accommodation for 30 guests in 15 cabins. Edmiston's chief executive, Jamie Edmiston, described Breakthrough as “the most extraordinary yacht ever built. The one that will change it all”.

Ahpo rejoined the brokerage market in April this year as the world's most expensive yacht for sale. Originally sold in 2017 as a new build to a repeat Lürssen client, the 115.1-metre hit the water in 2021, revealing her striking exterior and detailed interior design, both of which came from the drawing board of Italian designer Nuvolari Lenard. Within her elongated profile, trademark half-moon windows and tapered black and white decks, Ahpo is host to a long list of amenities, social spaces and accommodation for 16 guests in eight cabins. She has a particular focus on health and wellness, including a large fully equipped gym and a nature-inspired spa complete with a mosaic Turkish-style Hammam, Himalayan salt sauna, massage room and beauty salon. Other highlights onboard include a vast beach club with a waterside lounge and bar, a protected winter garden and a 12-seater cinema with a starlit ceiling.

Builder: Lürssen
When she first hit the water in 2003, Pelorus not only became the flagship of the Lürssen fleet, but she also took the title of the 11th largest superyacht in the world. She is said to be the result of three of the most distinguished names in yachting, Lürssen, Tim Heywood and Terence Disdale, and since her launch has undergone three major refits – including the addition of a second helipad in 2008. Aside from the four pools on board Pelorus – two of which are located on the top deck "lido" – a notable feature of her design is her vast opening transom and no fewer than five balconies and sea terraces across her main and lower decks. Inside, Disdale opted to use natural materials where possible to create a relaxed yet sophisticated interior with a "beach club" feel, creating a welcome ambience for up to 24 guests in 12 cabins.

Known as the world's second-largest expedition yacht, the 114.2-metre motor yacht Luna unsurprisingly nabs a place on the largest yachts for sale. Not only large in terms of length, this explorer has a mammoth volume of 5,655GT: host to features that include a 12-by-five-metre pool (the biggest ever seen on a yacht at the time of her launch), a conference room, dance floor, cinema, beauty salon, beach club, gym and Jacuzzi. Up to 18 guests can enjoy the long list of amenities onboard Luna, comfortably accommodated across nine cabins and cared for by a crew of 51. When it comes to her explorer capabilities, the German-built vessel boasts an ice-class hull, a range of 9,500 nautical miles and twin helipads for easy access to-and-fro, all while powered by a diesel-electric propulsion system. It was her €50,000,000 refit in 2015/2016 that has now made her “Luna Blue” profile so recognisable on the water.

As a build that took two million work hours and over 100 suppliers, the 107.6-metre Luminosity stands as a proud example of Benetti's "Made In Italy" ethos, becoming the second largest yacht ever built by the Italian shipyard when launched in 2020. Designed by a sizeable design team comprising Reymond Langton Design, Azure Naval Architects, Zaniz Interiors, Giorgio Cassetta and Benetti's in-house team, Luminosity sports 800 square metres of glass across her exterior, with three-metre windows across her main and upper decks that fill her living areas with natural light. A notable feature on board is the private health club on the lower deck, which benefits from opening side shell doors that transform the space into a sea-level spa. Originally delivered as the 95-metre Al Mirqab in 2000, Oceanco's H3 underwent a staggering rebuild completed in 2024 that drastically upgraded her into a modern masterpiece. Aside from a brand new redesign both inside and out, an extra 10-metres were added to her hull - eight metres to the aft deck and two to the bow – making way for new features including a large pool on the main deck aft with it's very own waterfall feature, and a lower deck spa and wellness area with a hair and nail salon. Reymond Langton Design penned both the exterior and interior redesign, while Lateral Naval Architects and Oceanco's in-house team collaborated on her naval architecture. It's no surprise that her rebuild won her a Neptune at the 2024 World Superyacht Awards. Accommodation on board is for up to 20 guests in 10 cabins.

Her rebuild was completed in 2010 and not long after, she won Best Rebuilt Yacht at the 2011 World Superyacht Awards. The range of amenities on board includes a full spa, gym and beach club, in addition to a Jacuzzi, pool and private cinema.
