All-carbon gold 50m superyacht sees €2 million price drop

14 February 2024 • Written by Katia Damborsky

The 49.5-metre Khalilah , one of the most recognisable yachts in the world, has had €2,000,000 taken off her asking price. Listed for sale with Remy Becquet of Fraser, the yacht is fresh from a €2.5 million refit and a comprehensive nine-year service of her technical equipment that leaves her in prime condition and ready for a new owner.

Aside from her rigorous maintenance programme, the yacht has a number of tick-box features that make her a good addition to the market - including an impressive 10.8-metre beam, 24-knot top speed and a remarkably bright and airy interior with ample windows throughout.

The yacht has a beam comparable to a 70-metre

The yacht is one of the best-priced Palmer Johnson sport yachts for sale in this size bracket, according to BOATPro. She was the largest carbon-composite-built superyacht in the world when she was delivered in 2014, and has a proven track record as a charter favourite thanks to her long list of amenities.

Accommodation is for 11 guests in five cabins, with each cabin following a different theme that adds to the yacht's distinctive character. Those interior themes extend into the main saloon, where there is a generous lounge area overlooked by a contemporary octopus art piece on the ceiling. For an alternative social living area, Khalilah also has a skylounge.

Khalilah is asking €22,900,000 excluding VAT

In terms of al fresco living, the 490 GT yacht offers an 110-square-metre aft deck with sunpads, lounge area and 12-seat dining. Elsewhere, a newly-enlarged swim platform is attached to the beach club, which is fitted with twin side-loading shell doors.

For guests looking to stretch out or take a dip, the sundeck has a large sunpad block and a Jacuzzi can be found on the foredeck.

The yacht's name means "sweetheart" or "beloved" in Arabic

The American-built superyacht is part of Palmer Johnson's popular SuperSport series. She has a cruising speed of 15 knots, cruising range of 2,280 nautical miles and is equipped with two MTU (2,600 hp) engines.

Khalilah is asking €22,900,000 excluding VAT.
