51m motorsailer Oguz Khan confirmed for 2025 launch

18 November 2024 • Written by Dea Jusufi

The interiors of the 50.5-metre motorsailer Oguz Khan have been revealed by her central agency for charter, Ocean Independence. The yacht is currently in build at Oguz Marin in Bodrum, Turkey, with launch scheduled for 2025.

Oguz Khan will be RINA-classed and built in steel and aluminium to an in-house design. The yacht was designed with the novel idea that the owner and guests could access all cabins directly from the swim platform. A design feature unique to any sailing yacht of its class, a 17-metre corridor divides the engine room into two separate areas. The engine room is encased in glass, enabling guests to walk between the two engines, directly accessing the cabins and galley without a staircase.

Oguz Khan will have a 9.8-metre beam

A spacious flybridge will allow guests to enjoy the custom-made hot tub as well as the nearby bar. Oguz Khan will also have storage for a seven-metre tender and a five-metre Jetboat, alongside Jet Skis, Seabobs and other toys.

Accommodation is for 12 guests in six cabins laid out as a master suite, three doubles and a twin. All guest cabins will have entertainment centres, television screens and en suite bathroom facilities, while the crew quarters will sleep seven members of staff. The main saloon is also worth mentioning, arranged with a lounge, bar, grand piano and a formal dining area.

The yacht will be powered by twin Volvo 750hp engines for a maximum speed of 14.5 knots and a cruising speed of 11.5 knots.

According to BOATPro, Oguz Khan is the only 24-metre-plus yacht under construction at Oguz Marin. Once delivered, she will be available for charter in the Mediterranean including Croatia, Turkey Montenegro, Italy and Cyprus.
