First Custom Line Navetta 35 superyacht hits the water in Ancona

Custom Line, a brand of Ferretti Group, has announced the launch of the first unit from its Navetta 35 superyacht series.

The 34.5-metre new build hit the water on 28 May at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, Italy, during a ceremony attended by the yard's senior management, the owner’s representative, the captain, surveyor and employees of both Custom Line and the outside contractors involved.

The launch of the first unit comes just months after the new model was unveiled in February as a "natural evolution" of the Navetta 33, with a modernised approach and a greater focus on the environment and current cruising regulations. According to the yard, three units of the model had already been sold before the launch of the first hull.

Italian designer Filippo Salvetti is behind the Navetta 35's exterior styling, marking yet another collaboration between the shipyard's Strategic Product Committee (chaired by Piero Ferrari), the Ferretti Engineering Department and the designer. Meanwhile, the model's interiors have been penned by ACPV Architects Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, with Custom Line Atelier providing strategic consulting.

According to the yard, key features of the model – drawn as such for a "unique and engaging cruising experience" – include "almost transparent" naval architecture to prioritise the sea, a close connection between the interior and exterior spaces and the combination of "elegance and comfort" throughout.

The layout spans three decks, with living spaces designed to be generous, functional and devoted to convivial living for the owner and their guests. 300 square metres of indoor and outdoor space can be found on board, alternating between areas designed for socialising and for relaxation, fitted with "comfy" freestanding furniture and filled with light thanks to repeated full-height windows.

Onboard highlights include a 58-square-metre sundeck (with a central area shaded by a hard top), an innovative staircase designed to blend discreetly into the interior design, and a main deck aft free of an external staircase, transforming the panoramic cockpit into a social hub. Accommodation is for up to 10 guests in five cabins, including a master suite on the main deck and four guest cabins on the lower deck.

The standard version of the Navetta 35 is equipped with two Sleipner fin stabilisers, with NG18 and NG26 model Seakeeper gyroscopic stabilisers offered as an alternative option.

Standard propulsion is from twin 1,400hp MAN V12 engines, offering a range of up to 1,800 miles in economy mode, though owners can opt for twin 1,622hp CAT C32 engines if desired, with an expected top speed of 16 knots. Key numbers include a draught of 2.2 metres and a 7.7-metre beam.

According to BOATPro, Custom Line currently has 18 yachts on order or in build, including two 49.9-metre Navetta 50s. The shipyard unveiled a fresh identity for its planing line, rebranding it as Saetta, during a press conference at last year's Monaco Yacht Show.
