Italian shipyard and brand of Ferretti Group, Custom Line, has unveiled a new addition to its Navetta line. The Navetta 35 has been presented as a "natural evolution" of the Navetta 33 model, with a modernised approach and a greater focus on the environment and current cruising regulations.
The first 34.5-metre unit is already in build at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, with delivery scheduled for autumn 2026. The shipyard also confirmed to BOAT International that hull two and three from the line are also in build, with hull one and two already sold.
Italian designer Filippo Salvetti is behind the Navetta 35's exterior styling, marking yet another collaboration between the shipyard's Strategic Product Committee (chaired by Piero Ferrari), the Ferretti Engineering Department and the designer. Meanwhile, interiors have been penned by ACPV Architects Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, who also recently partnered with the yard on its rebranded planing line, with Custom Line Atelier providing strategic consulting.
According to the yard, "comfort, liveability and aesthetic refinement" remain core to the new model, with several design features taken from the larger Navetta 38 model, including its focus on wellbeing on the water. Despite its slightly smaller size, the Navetta 35 offers generous volumes totalling over 300 square metres of interior and exterior spaces across three expansive decks.
With similar characteristics to the 38.8-metre model, exterior design takes a pared-back approach on the 34.5-metre size, with sculpted surfaces resulting in a contemporary and dynamic profile. Designer Salvetti noted the yacht's "tension, vigour and dynamism," which took inspiration from sports cars, muscular tension and aerodynamic lines. Specific work went into the design of the stern, which is intended to "strengthen the visual and physical connection with the sea".
A notable feature of the model is the movement of the exterior staircase, which, instead of being situated in a central position to aft, has been moved to amidships, allowing for increased space on the aft decks as well as optimum functionality throughout. Inside, the staircase has also been moved to a starboard position, cleverly concealed behind a reflective surface to allow for a generous, light-filled hallway without obstructions.
In the living areas, guests will notice the extensive use of glass to ensure bright and airy spaces filled with natural light, while ensuring a continuous connection with the environment outside. Custom freestanding furniture by Antonio Citterio (which can be arranged as desired) complete a "feeling of weightlessness".
In terms of colour schemes, the Navetta 35 is offered in three concepts developed by ACPV Architects - of which the studio noted that it has been developing for the past eight to nine years. The first is the "Light Mood", which favours a contemporary, airy aesthetic through natural colours such as ivory, beige and caramel.
The second is "Contrast Chocolate Mood", defined by a "more rigorous and assertive style" with contrasting dark brown leather, bone-china lacquering and Grigio Alpi stone surfaces. Finally, the "Contrast Oyster Mood" balances pale woods with dark leather and fabrics for an understated and timeless appearance inspired by light and shadow.
Accommodation is for 10 guests in five cabins, including a main deck master suite and four lower deck cabins, one of which can be fitted with a Pullman berth if desired. Further quarters on board accommodate a crew of six, comprising an upper deck captain's cabin with a private bathroom and three lower deck cabins located in the bow.
Exterior decks include a 58-square-metre sundeck, with a central area shaded by a hard top and an optional panoramic spa pool at the stern surrounded by sunpads. Below, the upper deck features a 44-square-metre panoramic cockpit with al fresco dining for 10, a full-beam lounge and a fully glazed interior skylounge, which ACPV described as a "glass box". Meanwhile, at the bow, a "sunset lounge" is designed with sea-facing sofas and a solarium.
Completing the yacht’s offerings is a stern garage on the lower deck for a jet ski and a tender up to five metres in length.
The standard version of the Navetta 35 is equipped with two Sleipner fin stabilisers, with NG18 and NG26 model Seakeeper gyroscopic stabilisers offered as an alternative option. Standard propulsion is from twin 1,400hp MAN V12 engines, offering a range of up to 1,800 miles in economy mode, though owners can opt for twin 1,622hp CAT C32 engines if desired, with an expected top speed of 16 knots.
The project is also set up for the installation of a selective catalytic reduction system, to cut NOx emissions by 70 per cent, in line with IMO Tier III regulations. Key numbers include a draught of 2.2 metres and a 7.7-metre beam.
According to BOATPro, Custom Line currently has 24 yachts on order or in build, including two 49.9-metre Navetta 50s. BOAT International stepped on board the first unit from the flagship line in 2024.
