The latest unit in the Amels 80 series, hull 8005, has arrived at Damen Yachting's facilities in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. The yacht was technically launched from the shipyard's new build facilities in Galati, Romania, in December, and will now undergo final outfitting works ahead of her scheduled 2027 delivery.
Hull 8005 follows the fourth unit in the Limited Editions series, which made the same journey in June 2025. BOATPro amounts a total of five Amels 80 yachts currently in build.
The hybrid 80-metre line is the largest offering in the yard's popular Limited Editions range, designed with a masculine, sturdy exterior by Espen Øino and interiors from the drawing boards of Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design.
Model highlights include a 200-square-metre sundeck, a private owner's deck and a 6.5-metre swimming pool. A notable feature is the beach club, which opens on three sides to become a fully-fledged waterfront lounge with access to a spa, sauna, gym, Hammam and massage room.
The Amels 80 was built upon the Dutch yard's previous models, including the Amels 60, with the yard noting that a total of over 50 Amels Limited Editions have been delivered to date. Key numbers of the Amels 80 include a 12.5-metre beam and a volume of 2,175GT, with capacity for 14 guests in seven cabins and 21 crew, including the captain.
"Today, discerning owners understand that sustainability and smart ownership go hand in hand," said Rob Luijendijk, Damen Yachting's commercial director, at hull 8005's technical launch. "The Amels 80's hybrid propulsion system and optimised hull design don't just reduce environmental impact; they deliver significant fuel savings and lower operational costs whilst protecting long-term value. It is intelligent yacht ownership for the modern era."

Exclusive data from BOATPro reveals that Amels currently has nine yachts on order or in build. The largest of which is 120-metre Project Tanzanite, the largest Dutch-built motor yacht in history, which is due for delivery this year.
