Nautor Swan reveals new Swan Alloy 44 at Monaco Yacht Show

Finnish sailing yacht builder Nautor Swan has revealed the first renders of its 44-metre Swan Alloy 44 during Swan Talks at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show.

Designed by Malcolm McKeon, the Swan Alloy 44 marks the brand's first aluminium supermaxi, offering new levels of customisation, stiffness-to-weight ratio and lifecycle serviceability.

Nautor Swan's New Product Development and Technical Office teams were also involved in the model's development, with the initial unit expected to launch from the yard's new Viareggio facility in 2026.

"Alloy gives us new freedom without losing the Swan silhouette, elegance in line, purpose in detail and a sailing experience that feels effortless,” said  McKeon, with Sanlorenzo CEO and chairman Massimo Perotti confirming the hulls would be sourced from the esteemed Gouwerok Shipyard in the Netherlands.

Announced earlier this year, commercial activity for the Swan Alloy 44 is being led by Edmiston's Bruce Brakenhoff from the brokerage firm's office in Newport, Rhode Island. "For Edmiston, this partnership is a natural step," said Brakenhoff. "Nautor Swan is one of the most legendary brands in sailing. We believe in the Swan Alloy 44 project and its potential to set a new standard in a superyacht sailing market that holds growing appeal.”

The Monaco Yacht Show also saw the global premiere of the Finnish yard's Swan 128 sailing yacht, featuring ample volume and refined deck ergonomics courtesy of naval architect German Frers. "The 128 distils Swan’s language for today: efficiency on the water, clarity of space and the quiet confidence owners recognise the moment they step aboard,” said Frers.

Finally, Nautor Swan used the opportunity of the Monaco Yacht Show to tease two upcoming alloy models, both of which surpass 50 metres in length, as well as a new Bluewater series in development.

"With the launch of the Swan 128 and the groundbreaking Swan Alloy 44, the brand continues to push the boundaries of innovation while remaining deeply rooted in its heritage,” said Perotti. “From the smallest ClubSwan 28 to the most ambitious Maxi projects, Swan’s legacy endures. A Swan is a Swan.”

The news forms part of Nautor Swan's €35 million investment programme, which follows the Finnish brand's acquisition by the Sanlorenzo Group last year.
