First Numarine 27XP explorer yacht with "silent" energy package delivered to owner

27 May 2026 • Written by Emily Dawkins

Turkish yard Numarine has announced the delivery of the first unit from its new 27XP explorer yacht model, Maske.

The 27-metre new build was delivered to a returning Numarine client, who decided to upgrade from a smaller 22XP. She is now expected to spend time cruising the Greek islands and wider Aegean region, before making her world premiere at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival in September.

The news comes after the model was officially presented to the industry at last year's Cannes Yachting Festival, with the yard now confirming that five units from the series have already been sold, three of which are currently under construction.

The 27XP stands as a "natural evolution" of the yard's 26XP platform, which began in 2018 with Gioia. The result is an improved LOA of 27 metres, increased volume, expanded outdoor living and a "creatively reimagined, flexible design". Long-standing collaborator Can Yalman is behind the model's sharp, masculine lines and soft, atmospheric interiors, with Italian designer Umberto Tagliavini returning for the naval architecture.

Highlights include a flybridge "among the largest in its class" and expansive glazed surfaces providing bright and airy interiors, from oversized windows to the main saloon's sliding glass door, which blurs the boundary between the interior and cockpit.

Interiors favour rich woods against a predominantly neutral scheme, with accents of orange and blue

Core to the model's design is the introduction of Numarine's new "Mk2 Super Silent Pack", developed in partnership with Sleipner. Built around a 48-volt energy architecture and integrated Hybrid Power Centre, the system combines a 92.8 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery bank with 5.6 kW of solar generation, shore power input and intelligent load management.

According to the yard, the higher voltage operation improves efficiency across all onboard systems, reduces energy losses and enables quieter, more stable electrical performance throughout. The first hull has also been delivered with a four-cabin layout, prioritising a full-beam flybridge and expanded exterior living spaces - though a five-cabin version is also available.

Power is from twin MAN 560 engines, providing a top speed of 13.5 knots, a cruising speed of 10 knots and a range of 2,200 nautical miles at eight knots

"The delivery of the first 27XP demonstrates how strongly the market has responded to this new model," said CEO of Numarine, Patrik von Sydow. "Five hulls sold before the first launch speaks for itself. The 27XP builds upon the success of the 26XP platform, refined through direct feedback from experienced owners and captains, combining the comfort of a much larger yacht with the efficiency that modern owners increasingly demand."

BOATPro amounts Numarine to have six yachts currently under development. The shipyard recently unveiled the latest offering to its portfolio with a new series of explorer yachts, known as the Classic Line.
